Recommendations: _________________________________________ Photo evaluation In this photo you are a little ahead of your horse. This is causing her to get onto her forehand and rely on your hand as a fifth leg. As you feel confident allow your elbows to come forward and allow her to find her own self-carriage. You have a better seat in this photo. Make sure that you do not slide to the outside and take too much on the inside rein. Although you can get a flexion to the right, she is losing her outside shoulder. Think about becoming straighter and taking a more even contact on the rein. This is much better. You are more square, just let your elbow come slightly in front of your body. Gradually work to allow your mare to take a longer stride while maintaining an even unhurried tempo. Well done. I look forward to some pictures next month to see how she is improving. |
